About Quakertown Gold and Coin Buyers

We’ve been in business for several years in Quakertown, but that’s not where we started.  Our combined 30+ years of experience in the gold and coin market started years ago, working for a local coin buyer.  As we learned the trade, over the years we realized that there were varying levels of ethical behaviors in the precious metals industry.  High pressure to sell, unfair gradings, varying measurement standards, and mislabeling karat values often seemed quite prevalent, and we decided to create a gold and coin market where low pressure, transparent evaluations, and a comfortable atmosphere were the rule rather than the exception – Quakertown Gold and Coin Buyers was born.  The blue and green store-front in Quakertown has become a familiar site in the Quakertown area, though we see customers from Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Coopersburg, Doylestown, and even as far as Phillipsburg, New Jersey!

Our mission is simple and our goal is customer satisfaction.  Selling gold can be an intimidating process, so we’re here to make it easier.  We’ll take as much time as you need when deciding if and when to sell your gold or other precious metals.  Our evaluation process is thorough, and we take the time to answer any questions about your items and transaction.  As always, our appraisals are free.

Got Kids?

Bring your  children with you.  Moms and Dads, we understand the struggle to schedule meetings and appointments around your kids, and that’s why we’re kid-friendly.   We have a special area specially designed for entertaining children! (Childproof and Safe) Our KID CORNER is sure to keep the little ones occupied while we examine your valuables with you. The Kid Corner is located a few feet away, so your child will remain within your sight at all times. Did we mention Quakertown Gold & Coin Buyers is locally owned and operated by two friendly and understanding women- who are both mothers?

Debbie

I’ve lived in the area for over 30 years, and feel extremely lucky to own my own gold, silver, and coin shop in the Quakertown area.  In 2009,  I  was a customer who happened to be in the right place at the right time, and began working in the gold and silver buying business.  Since then I met my partner in business and Quakertown Gold and Coin Buyers was born.

I’m currently a member of the American Numismatic Association and I continue to learn something every day from all the people I meet.  My philosophy is simple – I try to learn as much as I can about everything we do, but if there’s something I don’t know, we’ll find a specialist who can help us and serve you, the customer.  After over 11 years in the business, there are a lot of people in my network who we can call.

I love what I do here at Quakertown Gold and Coin Buyers because I often meet people in difficult times and get to help them through those times.  I believe we’re all here to help one another, and my role in helping people sell the things they don’t need makes me happy to see the relief it brings many of our clients.  After working in many different jobs, it’s amazing how each of the jobs I’ve done have taught me something about how to do this better.

I got into the gold and silver buying business in 2000, and have spent much of my adult life in related fields. A few months in the business showed me that there were varying levels of ethical behavior in the gold and silver buying business, and having worked for a few ethically challenged employers over the years made me keenly aware of the need for honesty in this industry.  I also realized the importance of helping to educate my customer in a transparent and upfront manner.

When I moved from New Jersey and began working in Pennsylvania, I eventually met my partner while working for a local coin and gold dealer.   After a few years working together, we realized that we could serve our clients much better on our own.  So, in 2018, we formed Quakertown Gold and Coin Buyers and have been helping people make extra money by selling jewelry they don’t wear or need.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our business is that we get to help people.  In today’s world where many seem to try to take advantage of those in need, we enjoy being able to give to those struggling by buying their unwanted gold or silver jewelry.  I personally appreciate being able to educate our customers on what they have, help them sort through what to sell and what to keep, and seeing them come back as repeat customers.
